Acquisition of the compagny LEDUC SA (transport, transit, storage of wine products).
1981
Investment in 13,500 industrial railcars and 1,100 agrifood railcars (from 1981 to 1991).
1992
SNCF takes an interest of 10% in Ermewa France. Acquisition of the Compagnie Auxiliaire Du Midi (railcars for cereals and sugar, tank containers, port installations).
2000
Foundation of Eurotainer (JV Brambles – Ermewa tank containers).
2003
First LBO led by IPES
(acquiring the majority of Ermewa Group with 50,4% stake).
Sale of maritime activities of the Group.
2005
Ermewa Group now holds 100% of Eurotainer.
2007
Second LBO led by SNCF and IPE.
2010
Aquisition of Ermewa Group by SNCF-GEODIS.
Acquisition of France Wagons.
Fleet grows from 20,000 to 60,000 railcars.
2019
Acquisition of 500 railcars from Macquarie European Rail.
Acquisition of 100% of Raffles Lease, integrating and adding 14,300 tank containers into Eurotainer.
€1.6bn refinancing dedicated to existing loans and future growth.
2020
Ermewa Group acquires Demi Container workshops.
2021
Acquisition of Villmann workshops.
Ermewa acquires the Lineas railcar fleet (3,900 railcars).
